No more updates

December 31, 2010

I’ve gotten much busier lately, and I have not been able to work on the update that was intended to fix the blue gloves issue and add a new player. It is likely that I will never be able to get around to that update. Plus, there really isn’t any point since the season is over and 2011 is coming up. When summer comes, I will probably create a “developer’s kit” that will include everything anyone needs to continue the work on this mod. Once that is done, anyone could freely create and upload mods, as long as they give me and the other modders credit.

So, I apologize for this news but hang in there and I’ll try to get that kit out by early summer.

More issues to be fixed

September 15, 2010

It has been reported to me that there are still some issues with MVP Baseball 2010. I plan to address these with a second patch as soon as I’m available. That should be the final patch I release. So, please let me know if there is anything that needs to be fixed. Here’s what’s been pointed out so far:

  • Missing textures on 1st-basemen mitts
  • Tony Gwynn Cyberface issue

I cannot guarantee that every issue will be addressed as I am very busy with school and I’m pretty much the only modder who’s currently active on this project. But, I will make every effort to address as many issues as I can.

MVP Baseball 2010 Patch #1 Released!

September 12, 2010

It’s finally here, folks! The first patch for MVP Baseball 2010 is now available on MLBMods. You can check it out here: http://mlbmods.com/index.php/downloads/mvp-2004/total-conversion-mods/mvp-baseball-2010-patch-1-mvp-04

MVP 2010 Patch #1

August 23, 2010

A few problems have been reported to me and I’m working on it to get them addressed in a patch. These are:

  • Incorrect playlist song names or song names not showing up
  • Pedro Alvarez’s skin tone is too light

I’m starting school again tomorrow, so I’ll be trying to get it done before I get busy with study, hopefully this week. More news to come.

MVP Baseball 2010 Upgrade

July 7, 2010

I’m working on getting the mod uploaded to MLBMods. It should be ready over the next couple days if all goes according to plan.

I also have some other news for you all. For the first time this year, I will be offering an upgrade option for those who wish to upgrade from MVP Baseball 2009 to MVP Baseball 2010. While it is not recommended, I understand that some people may wish to upgrade to make it less complicated or because they don’t want to download a 500+ MB zip file. I should have the upgrade option this or next week.

Beta 2 has been released

June 29, 2010

I just finished the CTS screen today and have upgraded Andrew McCutchen’s stats. This has been included in the second beta. If you’re on the beta team, check your inboxes later today! I still need to add Pedro Alvarez into the roster. The final mod should be released in a few days. Stay tuned and sign up for MLBMods if you haven’t already done so.

Beta 1 finished!

June 26, 2010

Finally, I can announce some progress! I have finished the playlist containing 8 new songs for this mod. I made significant changes to the playlist I originally announced. I’m not going to say what they are specifically so that you guys can be surprised, but I will say that it contains more recent hits. I think our  younger players will enjoy it a lot. Older gamers needn’t worry though! I’ve got a few oldies in there for you guys.

The beta has been sent out to all our testers and those who have made donations to me. If everything goes as planned, we should be looking at a final release of sometime mid of next week.

MVP 2010 Moving along

June 26, 2010

We’re getting there, slowly but surely. Today, I’m working on retrieving the songs for the playlist and converting them to MVP 04 format. If I have time, I’m also going to prepare a picture of Andrew McCutchen for the CTS Screen. Due to crashing problems some people had with the license screen last year, there won’t be a custom license screen this year. All beta testers will get the songs to test on their games. I may also send out the rosters tonight also. I expect to have the final product out in a few days.
